The Smooth Skin Center

The Smooth Skin Center was founded in 2015 by Dana Keim, a licensed and board certified electrologist who also runs the clinic. The office moved into newly built space at the end of 2019 on Indiana Avenue in Riverside. Olivia Jenks is also an owner and electrologist there, and Adrienne Strombolini is a licensed electrologist on the team.

Electrolysis works one follicle at a time: a fine needle is placed into the follicle and a small electrical current destroys the cells that produce hair. Because it is a series of treatments, the clinic gives an average of 12 to 18 months to reach permanence. Electrolysis is offered on all parts of the body, including intimate areas, and the clinic treats patients of every gender.

A visit begins with a free 30-minute consultation. Sessions are booked by appointment and priced by length, from 30 minutes up to 180 minutes. Between appointments, clients are asked not to tweeze or wax; shaving or trimming with scissors is fine.

The clinic describes itself as a premier permanent hair removal and electrolysis clinic for the Los Angeles and Inland Empire area. It also states that electrolysis is effective and safe for all skin and hair types, in contrast to laser hair removal. These are the clinic's own claims.
