The Skin Spot is run by owner and esthetician Julie from Suite 244 of the Carmel Office Suites.

Julie talks through each client's goals and examines the skin before choosing a treatment. Facials begin with thorough cleansing, exfoliation and serums suited to the individual's skin, and several treatments are often planned at spaced intervals. Clients who need care outside the studio's scope are referred to other professionals, and at-home products or a custom home regimen can be added to complement in-studio work.

Brow appointments are given a full 30 minutes. Shaping is done with wax, tweezers and trimming, and the shape is worked out with the client to suit their natural pattern and face shape. Brow tint is plant based and typically lasts about two to three weeks. Tinting can also help bridge gaps while brows grow in or add color to sparse or lightly colored brows.

Practical details: clients can pay with cash, check or major credit cards, and a 24-hour cancellation notice is required. The studio reserves the right to refuse service in certain circumstances. Tools and items that touch the skin are disinfected with a medical-grade disinfectant. Microblading is no longer offered.
