The Skin Session is an independently owned boutique in Suwanee, Georgia, listed at 1500 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard across Suites 111 and 165. Its focus is electrolysis, which it presents as a method of permanent hair removal. The studio is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 2 pm, and is closed Thursday and Saturday. The phone number is (470) 618-8032.
Every visit starts with a free consultation that explains the electrolysis process, the hair growth cycle and any earlier hair removal methods a client has tried. A few hairs are tested during the consultation to see whether electrolysis suits the client. The number of sessions varies, and a treatment plan is set after that conversation. Sessions run from about 15 minutes to more than an hour depending on the area. Listed prices range from $50 for a session of 10 minutes or less to $240 for two hours, with package pricing available and no credit check financing.
Treatment covers the eyebrows, chin, lip, jaw, breast, underarms, abdomen, bikini line, legs and back. Clients can expect a stinging feeling that differs from person to person. Tenderness, redness and some swelling are described as temporary, and the area is treated afterward with an antiseptic and antihistamine gel to reduce swelling. The studio also offers skin treatments for PCOS-related concerns such as acne and excessive hair growth. It contrasts electrolysis with laser hair removal, which it describes as temporary and not evaluated for long-term safety, and with waxing, sugaring, threading, depilatories and shaving, which it also calls temporary.
The studio says it serves LGBTQIA+ clients without sexual orientation affecting the level of service, and it welcomes transgender and non-binary clients for electrolysis, supporting them through stages of transition. It describes its equipment as state-of-the-art and its customer service as unparalleled. Pregnant clients may have electrolysis after consulting their physician, moles may require written physician approval, and pre-surgical clients need a letter specifying the area to be treated.
Starts with a free consultation and a small test of hairs, then sets a plan of sessions for each client.
