The Skin Preserve

The Skin Preserve is a Severna Park studio founded by Sarah Beitzell, a licensed esthetician and holistic skincare specialist who also works as an energy healer and eyebrow expert. Sarah B, also a licensed esthetician, is listed as an owner of the business.

The facial menu runs from a 35-minute express option to an 80-minute Healing Reiki facial. Several treatments are built around a specific concern or ingredient, including an acne clearing facial, a vitamin C facial, a plant stem cell and hyaluronic acid anti-aging facial, a soothing option for sensitive, red or dry skin, and an LED light therapy facial. The 90-minute Crown Lux facial adds extended massage, gua sha, hot stones and a scalp massage, and a 20% lactic acid peel is offered after a skin analysis. Two facials from the Desert Collection are also available. A package of four Pumpkin Peel treatments is offered at a reduced price.

New clients, or anyone curious about the services, can book a complimentary 15-minute skin consultation. The Signature Heart facial includes a consultation and a customized plan. Facials can be finished with a post-facial basket containing items for touch-ups before leaving.

Booking is handled through the studio's Glossgenius page, which lists payments as accepted. The studio asks for at least 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel, and appointments canceled within 48 hours may be subject to a 30% fee. Hours are Tuesday 10 AM to 7 PM, Wednesday 2 PM to 8 PM, Friday 8 AM to 2 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 3 PM, with the studio closed Monday, Thursday and Sunday.

Brow services are described by the studio as a specialty, with waxing and tinting options that can be combined. Bikini waxing requires hair at least a quarter inch long, and extended, Brazilian and maintenance options are offered for clients who wax on a regular schedule.

Focuses on preserving skin rather than correcting it, and begins with listening and, for peels, a skin analysis. Product lines were chosen after research and after the owner tested them first.
