The Shade Haus is a Houston salon that groups its menu into brows, extensions, hair, lashes, waxing and packages. The hair menu is the largest section, covering cuts for women, men and children, one-step color, dimensional balayage and babylights, toners and glazes, perms, and smoothing treatments.

About

Extensions are a major part of the business. Tape-in extensions and MAGO hand-tied knot extensions can be installed by the pack, and one-, two- and three-row installs are booked by consultation. Extension hair is not included in the install price, and the salon recommends a move-up every 5 to 7 weeks between installs and a full install every 10 to 12 weeks. Extension consultations carry a deposit.

Color and treatment services include clear glazes that add shine and help color last longer, color removal and bleach-out, creative color and color blocking, and Brazilian Blowout and keratin treatments that smooth frizz. A Mini Balayage Refresher can be booked up to three months after the last color appointment. A Two Root Retouches Per Month package is available for $110 and includes two root touch-ups scheduled at the client's convenience. Package credits apply automatically at checkout.

The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM, and is closed on Mondays. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval required before the appointment. Cancellations made at least 48 hours ahead carry no fee, while later cancellations are charged 50% of the service. A no-call, no-show is charged the full service fee, and arriving 20 minutes or more late counts as a no-show unless discussed beforehand. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100 and $200 amounts or a custom amount, and gift card sales are final.
