The San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center

The San Luis Resort is a beachfront hotel and spa resort on a 32-acre site on Galveston Island. Spa San Luis sits within the resort, and its menu covers facials, massages, pedicures and body treatments.

The spa's two signature offerings are the Coastal Sand, Sea & Salt Collection, which uses natural ingredients, and Marine Rituals, which pair marine-rich ingredients with specialized treatments. Each includes a take-home gift, and the Coastal Sand collection also comes with a prickly pear margarita mocktail.

Spa days are offered. Spa online booking is available Monday through Friday, and other appointments are made by phone at 409.740.8603. A credit card is required to reserve, and every spa service carries a 20% service charge. Saturday appointments add $10 per treatment. Cancellations or changes need at least 24 hours' notice, and late cancellations or no-shows are charged a full service fee or a rescheduling fee. Spa hours are Monday to Saturday 10AM to 6PM and Sunday 10AM to 5PM.

The resort's grounds are built on the former Fort Crockett, started in 1897, and parts of that fort's walls form part of the foundation. The hotel itself was built in the 1980s on and behind the site of the former Battery Hoskins. Guests can also use the Cove pool and the resort's restaurants.

Treatments are built around natural and marine-rich ingredients.
