The Private Room

The Private Room was started when owner and hairstylist Tina McPherson opened the Beverly Hills salon in 2011. The salon describes its space as intimate and elegant and sets itself apart as a boutique salon.

Services cover haircuts, blowdry and style, color re-touch, toner and gloss, balayage and highlights, keratin treatments, hair treatments for conditioning and damage control, color correction and hair extensions. Balayage and highlights use foil placement. Blowdry and style starts at $100, a haircut is listed at $400, and a hair treatment is $75. Prices are listed as starting points, and color re-touch starts at $175 for regrowth up to six weeks, with an extra product charge for regrowth beyond that.

Booking is by appointment only, and text at 310-247-2228 is the preferred contact. In-salon appointments can be cancelled without charge up to 48 hours ahead. Cancellations or no-shows inside 48 hours may be charged the full scheduled service unless another client can take the time. Special event cancellations are accepted two to four weeks before the event, depending on agreement between both parties.

Service planning starts with mood boards and working together on the look a client wants. Extensions and color correction are offered after a consultation. The salon also provides event, red carpet, photo session, studio and on-location work on request, with on-location service available at the client's location.

Several of the salon's standout services were devised by Tina McPherson, among them The Locks Lab, Color Pop! and The Bang Station.
