The Pilar Effectt is a private studio on University Boulevard in Winter Park, owned by licensed beauty professional Pilar Moore. Hair removal is the core of the menu, with a long list of waxing options from lip and eyebrow to full body, alongside facials, sugaring, brow work and intimate skincare.
Facials run about 30 minutes from $45 and typically include cleansing, exfoliation, a mask and moisturizer, with steam and extractions available as optional add-ons. Vajacial is a bikini-area treatment from $35 that can only be booked alongside a Brazilian service.
New clients are asked to book the New Client Brazilian service, which also asks them to avoid shaving for at least two weeks beforehand. Existing clients can book the lower-priced Brazilian service if they have visited within the past two months. Men can book braids, which take 70 minutes and cost $50 with a $20 deposit. Memberships renew monthly until cancelled.
