The Parlour Room

The Parlour Room is a Clermont salon on West Desoto Street that brings hair, nails, lashes, brows and makeup under one roof. It is open Tuesday through Saturday: 9 am to 6 pm on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 9 am to noon on Wednesday. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Hair services include women's and men's cuts, children's haircuts for ages 12 and under, and women's blowouts that include a shampoo, treatment and blow dry. Color options range from single-color root touch-ups, recommended every four to six weeks, to partial and full custom color, color correction, and all-over color meant to cover new regrowth. Perms, short relaxers, braids and hair extension implementation, maintenance and removal round out the menu. Extension maintenance is a move-up at five weeks.

Nail services include gel manicures, a basic kids manicure for children 10 and under, builder gel overlays and fills, and soak-offs. Soak-offs are offered for the salon's own work and for sets done elsewhere. Builder gel fills are only done on work the salon did itself, and a soak-off is needed for fills beyond four weeks or when there is heavy lifting. Gel extensions come in five lengths, from extra short at $45 to extra long at $65, and require a description before booking. Nail art is offered in four tiers, from simple French tips and chrome to fully customized, heavily decorated sets.

Eyelash extensions are offered as a full set, a two-week fill or a three-week service. Brow services include brow mapping and shaping, along with microblading or microshading. Microblading and microshading begin with a consultation covering brow condition, desired results, technique and color options. The appointment takes about three hours and includes a follow-up at four to six weeks. Makeup applications are offered in natural, soft glam and full glam styles, priced by the type of makeup chosen.
