Valerie Leger established the salon in 2019. In 2024, the business rebranded from Soul Haus Society to The One Society Salon. The salon describes itself as a luxury hair and beauty salon and, by its own account, the best hair salon for women's haircuts and self-care in the area.

Women's haircuts are shaped around face shape, hair texture and day-to-day lifestyle, and the work includes precision cuts and layers. Stylists cut and style straight, wavy and curly hair, but type 4 hair services are not offered. The salon recommends a women's trim every 6 to 8 weeks.

Single-shade fantasy color starts at $200, while multi-tone looks and complex placements run from $250 to $350. Mermaid and Unicorn packages, from $250, combine 3 to 5 custom shades, placement and a take-home color mask. Appointments take 2.5 to 4 hours, and touch-ups are recommended every 4 to 6 weeks. Clients are asked to arrive with unwashed hair and to avoid chemical services for at least 2 weeks beforehand. Olaplex is used during the bleaching step. Balayage and ombre require a consultation before booking.

Hair coloring also covers partial to full highlights and lowlights, root touch-ups, and color services for men. Men's haircuts include classic cuts, modern styles, fades and tapers, and beard trimming and grooming can be added to any haircut. Nail services include manicures, pedicures, nail art, and gel or acrylic options. Tools are sanitized using professional-grade processes, and clients can request a specific stylist when booking. Clients receive 20% off on their birthdays, and the salon offers complimentary Wi-Fi and nearby parking. Kid-friendly services are also on the menu.
