The Nail Theory Charlotte is a nail studio in Charlotte, North Carolina, located in Suite 306 of a building on South Tryon Street. The studio is open every day of the week from 10 AM to 6 PM, and clients can either walk in or book ahead.

The menu centers on gel work. Clients can choose a gel polish manicure or pedicure, or add extensions using builder gel (BIAB), Gel-X, hard gel or soft gel. The studio does not apply or remove acrylic nails, so clients arriving with acrylics are asked to reschedule.

Gel polish is organized by colour family, including nudes and sheers, pinks, reds and berries, purples and plums, blues, greens, golds and glitter, greys, oranges and yellows, browns and black, and whites and creams. Most shades come from the Chaun Legend Cre8tion collection, and more are kept in the studio. Clients can also pick a clear or matte top coat, or skip polish altogether.

The studio describes itself as a Black owned business and as safe and inclusive, and as an LGBTQ+ ally. It describes its atmosphere as smokeless.

Membership is available for regular clients. Members receive member-exclusive rates, unlimited fixes and early booking access while the membership is active; membership is personal and cannot be transferred, and unused appointments do not carry over from one month to the next. Active AIM Beauty Academy students can book student appointments, verified at the time of booking.

Payment is accepted by major credit cards and by digital payment through TidyCal when booking. Clients who purchased a Groupon voucher are honored for their first appointment and pay the regular Groupon price for later visits. Before a first service, clients sign a consent form. The studio sterilizes its tools between appointments and reserves the right to refuse service to any client. Pregnant clients may receive special accommodations and should speak with the studio before booking.

The studio runs on a clear set of booking and service rules, with membership and student options, and sterilizes tools between every appointment.
