The Nail Concierge

The Nail Concierge opened in May 2012 and is run by its founder and owner, Alexia Villanueva, a licensed esthetician who works mainly with hands and feet. The salon's menu centers on natural nail care, protection, and repair of both nail and skin health. Alexia also personally runs the mobile division that serves Westchester County.

Every client is seated in a private room for one-on-one service, and services are booked by the hour. Manicures and pedicures are hand-blended, with skin boosts chosen according to each client's skin condition, and a keratin base treatment is applied under the products with every service. Nail work is done by hand rather than with an e-file, and hands and feet are cleaned with a waterless deep cleaning method. The salon states that its manicures and pedicures are toxin-free. Dry pedicures are also offered.

Beyond standard manicures and pedicures, the salon offers severe damage nail treatments and custom nail reconstruction as add-ons, along with toenail reconstruction and fingernail treatments. Toenail reconstructions are timed for application intervals of 6 to 8 weeks, and fingernail treatments are set at 2-week or 4-week intervals. Both regular polish and gel options are available. Product lines used include OPI, CND, IBX and Arkada.

Booking is done only through the online portal, which asks new clients to create an account and reserve a first appointment. The salon does not take appointment calls, and it does not accept walk-ins or groups in the salon. A card on file holds the appointment and is not charged at booking. Payment is processed online by Stripe for Visa, Mastercard or ACH bank debit, with cash, Zelle or Venmo accepted at checkout for any remaining balance. American Express is not accepted for reserving appointments. Acrylic services, including fills, removals and extensions, are not offered, and rubber basecoats, dip powders, SNS and acrylic base gels are not removed at the salon, so clients are asked to remove them before arriving.

Clients can wait in a lounge area and visit the Hamilton Cafe before or after an appointment; the cafe is open weekdays until 3:00pm. Parking is in the garage beneath Sola Salon Studios at a flat fee of $3.00 for 3 hours, with free parking for weekday appointments after 6:00pm and all day on weekends.
