The Middle Path

The Middle Path is a massage studio in Norman that combines massage with meditation in a single approach. Sessions are built around each client's specific needs, and staff can talk through the options and help a client choose a treatment.

The studio is in the Park on Main shopping center. To find it, visitors head south on 36th from the W. 36th and Main intersection and enter through the breezeway at the southwest corner. The site describes the space as quiet and cozy, and notes that it can be hard for first-time visitors to locate.

Massage is offered in 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute sessions, with Swedish, relaxing and therapeutic work at the core and deep tissue, sports and hot stone options alongside. Multi-session series of six are available at a reduced rate per session. Prenatal massage is also offered.

The spa menu adds two body wraps. The detoxifying wrap uses a herbal solution applied over the whole body, followed by heated blankets and a face and scalp massage. The soothing wrap uses a solution infused with yarrow flower, chamomile and lavender, with the same heated blanket and head and face finish.

Two spa packages pair a wrap with a massage. The Shanti package combines a choice of wrap with a 60-minute massage and takes about two hours. The Dhyana package combines a choice of wrap with a 90-minute hot stone massage and takes about two and a half hours.

The studio works by appointment only. Appointments can be booked online through the Schedule Now link on the website, or by phone. Staff are often in sessions, so callers may need to leave a message for a callback. Gift cards can be bought in person or as instant e-gift cards, and visitors who want to see the office or buy a card in person should call first to arrange a time. The studio says a high share of its business comes from repeat customers and referrals.
