The Lash Effect

Lash extensions and eyebrow grooming are the client offerings, and both are booked through the website. New and returning clients are welcome.

Alongside client work, the business teaches lash artistry. The Beginners Masterclass is a two-day, one-on-one, hands-on course running 10am to 4pm each day, aimed at beginners and intermediate students with little or no lash experience. It covers Classic, Hybrid and Volume styles, along with safety and sanitation, isolation and application, consultations, lash mapping and eye shapes, fills and aftercare, removals, and marketing and branding. Students practice on live models and receive a full lash supply training kit, a training manual, a lash supply vendor list, and a marketing and business session, with ongoing mentorship afterward. Completing the masterclass includes three certifications, and every course comes with a certificate of completion.

The business was founded by Marie, who started working in the lash industry in 2019 and has owned a lash business for more than six years. The founder describes the teaching as hands-on and supportive, with a focus on results, and has trained students over the past five years, some of whom have gone on to start their own lash businesses. Two further courses are listed as coming soon: BASICS, a beginner course on the Classic technique, and Advanced Training for experienced artists covering Russian Volume, Wispy Sets and Eye Shape Styling.

The masterclass deposit is non-refundable, and missing a scheduled session without proper notice means losing the deposit with no option to reschedule. Payment plans start at $130 per month, based on eligibility, through Shop Pay installments. Client work and training are both one-on-one, with training built around hands-on practice to help students develop confident lash skills.
