About

The Laser Spot was established in 2014 by its founders and works from a suite on North Dale Mabry Highway in Lutz. The business states it has more than ten years of experience. It describes itself as a full-service medical spa and says its clinics are overseen by board-certified dermatologists. Treatments are carried out by registered nurses, physician associates and nurse practitioners, and the business says all of its treatment providers complete training with its medical experts and laser manufacturers.

Laser hair removal is performed with a Cynosure Elite iQ system and is priced per area, from $60 to $100. Areas include the face, eyebrows, neck, chest, back, arms, underarms, legs, bikini and Brazilian. For bikini work, the clean line option covers the skin two to three inches beyond what underwear covers, and clients can choose to keep a strip of hair, such as a landing strip. A full Brazilian treats the entire pubic area. The business says its sessions are generally quick and states the treatment can achieve up to 80% permanent hair reduction after a series of sessions.

IPL, or intense pulsed light, is offered to target pigmentation and uneven texture. IPL photofacial treatments are available for the face, arms, neck and legs, with packages for select areas. The business lists a single IPL photofacial at $89 and IPL services from $210 to $250. Its facial menu covers a standard facial, an acne facial, an anti-aging deep pore treatment, a customized facial and dermaplaning, with a dermaplaning facial and a standard facial listed at $89 and $79. Facials are customized after the skin is analyzed during a consultation. Skin treatments are priced from $85 to $145, and payment plans are available through Cherry, including 0% APR options.

Before laser treatment, clients are asked to shave the area the night before and avoid waxing for four weeks, since hair pigment is needed for the laser to work. Clients should also avoid direct sunlight on the area for two weeks before and after treatment and use sunscreen. For 24 hours afterward, shaving, waxing, plucking, exfoliation, excessive sweating, swimming, saunas, very hot showers and tight clothing should be avoided. Mild heat and redness may occur and can be eased with aftercare for three to five days. Consent forms and a medical history form for laser treatment are available on the website. The business offers a lifetime guarantee it calls the Devil's in the Details Guarantee.

Treatments are tailored to each individual client, and facials are customized after skin analysis and a consultation.

The setting is described as upscale, welcoming and relaxing.
