The IV Guy AZ opened in February 2024, founded by Billy and Sunny Plant. It is a mobile business with no fixed clinic, so staff travel to wherever the client is. According to the business, it serves 22 cities in the Phoenix metro area and the West Valley. The cities it names are Surprise, Peoria, Glendale, Goodyear, Buckeye, Phoenix, El Mirage, Sun City, Sun City West, Avondale, Litchfield Park, Tolleson, Waddell, Anthem, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa and Paradise Valley. The business also says that clients in cities not on that list may still be covered if they call to ask.
Infusions are given by paramedics and nurses, and the business says its team comes mostly from fire service and emergency medicine backgrounds, with most of its paramedics and nurses reporting well over a decade in the field. Clinical care works under the medical direction of Daniel Dawson, DO, an emergency medicine physician who works in a West Valley emergency department. Protocols and support add-ons are set under that direction. A clinician stays for the full infusion and stops to assess if the client feels unwell.
Every appointment starts with a health review covering medical history, medications and supplements, allergies and any problems during a previous IV. Pregnancy, dialysis, certain heart and kidney conditions and some medications can make an infusion unsuitable, and clients are told before any payment is taken. Infusions are not offered as a treatment for medical conditions; ongoing symptoms are referred to a doctor, and urgent situations are referred to emergency care instead of an IV visit.
Before a visit, the client should have a clean spot that is either shaded or indoors, along with a comfortable seat or bed where one arm can stay free. Visits do not take place in a moving vehicle or in direct sun without shade. When booking, clients should provide the full address, unit or room number, any gate or building code, and parking details. Hotel and rental guests should also give their room or unit number. Standard drips usually run 30 to 45 minutes, and vitamin infusions take about 30 to 60 minutes. Every standard visit includes one liter of lactated Ringer's. Clients who are hard to get a line into are asked to mention this at booking so staff can plan access.
Pricing is set without a call-out charge, fuel surcharge, distance pricing or minimum inside the service area; the business says this is unusual in its industry. HSA and FSA funds are accepted, but insurance is not, and the business notes that insurance does not generally cover wellness IV therapy. Military, first responders and teachers receive a discount, and group bookings at one address receive discounts starting at four IVs. Between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM, clients must call or text rather than book online, and a $50 after-hours fee applies. Cancelling within two hours of an appointment carries a $50 fee. Patients aged 10 to 17 need a parent or guardian present for the whole appointment.
For community events, sports tournaments, bachelorette and bachelor parties, girls' nights, weddings, birthdays and corporate events, the business brings a mobile IV trailer or a climate-controlled trailer for larger outdoor events. Event bookings are made by sending the date, address and headcount for pricing and availability. Because the business has one trailer, the company recommends booking earlier for events between May and September. The business also says it sponsors Phoenix Rising and that it was voted Best of the Burg for mobile IV therapy in 2026.
Each visit starts with a health review, and infusions are offered as nutrient support rather than a treatment for medical conditions; ongoing symptoms are referred to a doctor and urgent situations to emergency care.
There is no clinic; visits take place at the client's own home, hotel, office, gym, RV or job site.
