The salon opened in fall 2015 in a corner of the old Isaac Staples sawmill on the north end of historic downtown Stillwater. Jenna and her husband Danny renovated the space to create it, and Jenna still owns and works there as a Master Stylist. The salon describes its style as old-school charm paired with modern technique.

Visits are planned in advance so that each appointment runs smoothly from arrival to departure. Guests can sit with a local, organic River Moon coffee or espresso, or choose a seasonal cocktail or a beer. The room has natural light, original floors and a view of the St. Croix River, and the salon describes the feel as refined, relaxed and approachable. The salon calls itself a high-end salon experience.

Stylists work across cutting, color, extensions and smoothing, with several who focus on particular areas such as hand-tied extensions, red hair, faded men's cuts and blonde work. The salon sells R+Co products in the shop and through an online store linked to the salon.

The salon combines a traditional feel with current technique, and plans each appointment carefully from start to finish.
