The hair loft

The Hair Loft works out of a private studio rather than a larger salon floor, so each appointment is one-on-one. The studio is on the second floor at 5617 Paseo del Norte, Suite 200, Room 7, above Conner Bakery Cafe, and is directly across from the Carlsbad Premium Outlets.

Haircuts cover men's cuts with a shampoo and hot towel, short women's cuts that include a shampoo and blow-dry around the ears, and medium to long cuts with a shampoo and blow-dry for chin-length or longer hair. Color work includes root touch-ups on about an inch of new growth, accent highlights with six to ten foils placed for face framing or peekaboo effect with toner, and a single all-over color application from roots to ends for refreshing or updating color.

First-time root touch-up and all-over color clients need a consultation before the service, and every new color or highlight client starts with one. The color consultation itself is complimentary, takes about 15 minutes, and does not require booking a service. There is also an a la carte option for shampoo only, a haircut only, or other single services, priced individually.

The studio is open on Sundays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Clients can book through the website, and the phone and email are listed for questions.

Each appointment is personalized to the client, with a consultation built into the process for new color clients.

The studio is described as a cozy, private space with a comfortable and relaxing setting.
