The Hair Fallicles was founded in 1999 by Jeff and Dianne Fallecker. The name combines the word follicle with the Fallecker family name.

The salon first operated in Butler, PA (Center Township) for 16 years. It moved to its current Prospect location in 2014 and opened there on January 6, 2015. The owners renovated the Prospect space themselves with help from friends.

The salon aims for a positive, welcoming atmosphere where clients feel like part of a family. Walk-ins are welcome when a stylist has time, though booking or calling ahead is preferred. It is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9am to 7pm, Friday from 9am to 2:30pm, and closed Saturday through Monday.

According to the salon, its goal is to help create a more beautiful world, one client at a time.
