The Hair Creative

The Hair Creative is a collective of independent hair stylists on East 38th Street in Minneapolis. The team works across cutting and color, with a range of specialties from curly-hair cutting and dry cutting to vivid fashion color, shags and low-maintenance styles.

Clients can book, cancel and reschedule through Vagaro, and day-of appointments can be arranged by calling (612) 207-1145. Street parking is available in front of the building and on nearby side streets at 24th and 23rd Avenue South. Visitors should not park in neighboring businesses' reserved lots.

Every service provider works from a gender-neutral service menu, and all staff are educated on creating gender-affirming hairstyles. The salon says it is part of The Dresscode Project, a global alliance of salons providing gender-affirming services for LGBTQ2S+ clients.

The men's haircut is a traditional barber's cut in the stylist's chosen style, finished with a hot lather around the neck and ears and a hot towel. Vagaro lists it at no charge.

At-home hair care from Cult & King and Innersense can be ordered online and shipped to clients.

Built around a belief in intentional beauty for all people. The salon says its products are clean beauty, free of harmful and toxic ingredients.

The space includes gender-neutral restrooms and community areas.
