The Gentle Waxer is run by Dominique Horn, a licensed esthetician, from a suite at 200 Paris Dr. in Palm Springs, Florida. Her focus is full body waxing, and the menu covers everything from brows, ears and sideburns to full arms, full legs and full back.

Services are listed individually with set prices and appointment lengths, so clients can see what a visit will take before booking. For clients who want more than one area done, there are bundles such as Brows, Lip and Chin, and Brazilian and Underarm, plus Underarm and Brazilian wax passes that bring the price down compared with booking each service on its own. Existing package credits apply automatically at checkout when a client books a service as usual.

The Vajacial is a longer treatment of 55 minutes that includes a double cleanse, ingrown hair extraction, a mask, five to ten minutes of high frequency or LED light therapy, and a soothing serum. It does not include Brazilian or bikini waxing. The salon is open Thursday through Sunday and closed Monday through Wednesday.

Booking is held with a non-refundable deposit. New clients pay a smaller deposit for some services, with a higher amount for Vajacial, Brazilian and the larger body areas. Changes should be made at least 24 hours ahead to avoid a 15% fee charged to the card on file, and no-shows or repeated last-minute cancellations may lead to being blocked from future bookings. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings between $50 and $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment.
