About

The Facial Room operated in and around Lake Oswego for ten years before relocating to Suite 207 at 9221 SW Barbur Blvd. Its current visitors come from Southwest Portland, Multnomah Village, Hillsdale, Garden Home, Raleigh Hills, Tigard and Lake Oswego. There is no-cost parking on site, and when that lot fills, spaces on the street along Barbur Blvd are an option.

New clients begin with foundational facials before moving on to more intensive techniques. Clients do not need to know their skin needs ahead of time, since the first visit starts with a conversation about goals. Each facial is customized to the skin on the day of the visit, and most clients are advised to come in every 4 to 6 weeks. Clients see the same provider at every visit.

The facial menu includes The Essential Facial, a 60-minute treatment at $198 with a double cleanse, exfoliation, lift and sculpt massage, manual extractions as needed, cryotherapy, a neck, scalp and shoulder massage and a hydration mask. The Signature Facial at $298 adds Nano Infusion. The Glow & Flow Experience, a two-hour visit at $399, pairs a full-body massage with aromatherapy, warm towels, hot stones and optional cupping before an Essential Facial. The Ageless Facial, two hours at $425, builds on the Signature Facial with LED light therapy and a hand or foot massage. Other facials include the Acne Facial, Anti-Aging Facials, the DMK Enzyme facial, Facial Infusion, The Glow Up and microneedling, which is available to established clients only.

Massage options include Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy massage, hot stone massage and MVA massage for recovery after a motor vehicle accident, which is guided by a physician's referral. Deep tissue sessions are tailored to each client and use slow, focused pressure. Clients who are pregnant, recently had surgery, have an active medical condition or take certain medications are asked to check with a healthcare provider first.

Appointments can be booked online. Cancellations and reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice, and changes made with less notice or missed appointments may be charged the booked service's price. Gratuity is not expected. Clients are advised to stop retinol and exfoliating acids two to three days before a facial. Most treatments can be followed by makeup, though going makeup-free for the rest of the day is suggested. Clients who have trouble finding the office can call or text before their visit for directions.

The studio builds each facial around the client's skin on the day, and treatments are meant to be hands-on and unhurried, supporting the nervous system as well as visible results.

The space is a private studio with soft light, warm towels and a calm setting.
