About

The clinic specializes in electrolysis and offers skin care as well. According to the clinic, electrolysis is the only method the FDA allows to be labeled permanent hair removal. The clinic says the treatment works well and is safe on every skin type, hair type, skin tone and hair shade, and on nearly any part of the body. According to the clinic, electrolysis has been used for permanent hair removal since 1875.

Electrolysis is offered for a wide range of needs, including the breast area, coarse and curly hair, darker skin, PCOS, hormonal changes, teenagers, transgender clients, men, and athletes. For men, treatment covers eyebrows, beard shaping, the neckline, ear hair, back hair, and shoulder hair. Genital and groin hair removal is also offered, though some clients may be asked to have other areas treated first or to obtain a medical referral. For transgender clients, facial, body, and genital hair removal is available, and the clinic coordinates with surgeon protocols when hair removal is part of pre-surgical preparation. Pregnant clients can have electrolysis and are advised to speak with their physician first. Work on moles is done where licensing rules allow and may require written approval from a physician. Electrolysis is also used for ingrown hairs, curly and coarse hair, and raised bumps.

A visit starts with a consultation to talk through hair removal needs before any treatment. Sessions are priced at $50 for 15 minutes, $70 for 30 minutes, $82 for 45 minutes, and $96 for 60 minutes. The clinic uses a Gentronic MC160 digital combo epilator. Services are by appointment only, with no walk-ins. Clients should give 24 hours' notice to cancel. Late arrivals are charged for the originally scheduled time, and the appointment may be shortened. Clients under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Payment is due at the time of treatment and can be made by cash, credit card, or check.

Infection prevention follows the Standards for Infection Prevention written by the American Electrology Association, which reference CDC, OSHA, and APIC recommendations. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays.
