The Ember Room

The Ember Room is a private studio in Downtown Clermont, located in Number 10 Suites at 646 7th Street. Samie Gonzalez founded the studio and works as its hair stylist, with Carissa Beasley assisting as co-stylist.

The studio keeps its services simple, aiming for hair that looks good now, grows out well and fits the client's lifestyle. Each guest is booked for an individual appointment, which suits women who want an unrushed salon visit, including busy mothers and professionals.

Color work includes lived-in balayage and blonding, from soft highlights to an overall brighter blonde. Blonding is planned with hair health in mind, and the method is chosen together with the client. Single custom color can be used to return to a natural shade, deepen color or refresh all-over color, and haircutting can be booked alone or added to color.

Hand-tied extensions add fullness, length or both, and the salon uses 100% cuticle-intact Remy human hair. The salon says hand-tied wefts are thinner, lighter and more comfortable long-term than machine-tied wefts, and that they are among the gentlest extension methods when installed and maintained correctly. Tape-in extensions and hair toppers are also offered, with toppers available in tape and beaded methods. A consultation is required before any extension service, and extension color is matched in person from a color library.

Standard hand-tied installs start at $150 for one row, $300 for two and $400 for three. IBE installs start at $200, $400 and $550. Reinstalls use the same starting prices, and extension hair is priced per box before tax, from $196 for 14 to 16 inches up to $458 for 26 to 28 inches. Volume uses about two boxes, while volume plus length uses four to five, with the exact amount set at consultation. Cut and blend are included in extension installs, while color and toning are charged separately. Topper pricing is discussed at consultation, and online prices are starting prices that may vary by length, density, desired outcome and service time.

A deposit may be required for some services and must be paid within 24 hours to hold the appointment. For extensions, the deposit equals the cost of the hair and secures the order, which arrives in 7 to 10 business days. Reinstalls are typically every 8 weeks, sooner for finer hair, and extensions last about 6 months to a year with care. Because services are custom, refunds are not offered, so concerns should be raised within 48 hours. Late arrivals may shorten the service, require rescheduling or be charged the full amount, and only guests receiving services are admitted to the studio unless arranged in advance.
