Each visit starts with a lash map shaped to the client's eye shape, face structure and the look they want. Application uses medical-grade adhesives, sterile technique and isolation to protect natural lashes. Shape options include Cat, Doll, Open Eye, Squirrel, Natural and Artist's Choice. Clients are asked to disclose allergies when booking, and a patch test can be done 48 hours before an appointment.
The set menu runs from a Signature Classic set (1 hour 30 minutes, $140) and a Party set (2 hours, $160) to a Manga Muse set (3 hours 5 minutes, $170), a Wet set using closed fans for a wispy finish (2 hours, $170) and a Volume set (2 hours, $180). Fills are recommended every 2 to 3 weeks. A fill takes off grown-out extensions, cleanses the lashes and replaces any missing fans, so clients should arrive with clean lashes. Brow shaping and tinting (45 minutes, $50) is also offered.
The Lash Loyalty Bundle ($250) covers any set plus two maintenance appointments booked every 2 weeks after the initial set. Bundle bookings are non-transferable, and any appointment booked beyond the 2-week window is charged as a full set. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable, and arriving 15 minutes late results in a reschedule fee.
The Med Effect Lash Academy runs lash training classes. Essentials is a 1-day hands-on class without a kit ($599), and Pro is a 1-day course with a full professional kit ($799). Classes are small groups, the course was designed by a former ophthalmic technician, and a certificate of completion is given at the end. Topics include classic and intro hybrid application, lash mapping, isolation and safe placement, adhesive safety and eye health precautions.
Hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm. Sunday visits are by appointment only. The studio can be reached at (267) 788-5218.
