About

The Desert Bloom PHX is an Indigenous owned and operated space in Phoenix that combines tattooing, hair styling, esthetics and gallery work under one roof. It is located in Suite 2 at 2302 North Central Avenue.

Several of the artists have work in, or have collaborated with, The Heard Museum Phoenix, The Field Museum in Chicago, the PIVOT exhibition, The Phoenix Indian Center and other local organizations, which ties the studio's art practice to cultural institutions.

Everything is by appointment only. Clients reach out to the artist or stylist they want to work with directly rather than through a walk-in process. Esthetics bookings are made under the name KCB Esthetics on Kaysee Bruno's booking profile, which lists services, packages and gift cards.

The studio shares written aftercare guidance for tattoos. After the first hour, the wrap comes off and the tattoo is washed gently with antibacterial soap, then patted dry with a clean paper towel rather than rubbed. A very small amount of Aquaphor or a fragrance-free healing ointment is suggested after washing. Washing is recommended one to two times a day for the first five to seven days. Scabs should be left alone, and fragranced body washes, lotions and shampoos are best avoided while healing. Pools, hot tubs, baths and lakes are to be avoided for at least two weeks, and direct sun should be avoided, with sunscreen applied only once the tattoo has fully healed.

Indigenous owned and operated, with appointment-only booking that connects each client directly with the artist or stylist they choose.

Part tattoo studio, part salon and part gallery.
