Brad, the owner and stylist, came to hair systems after years of salon work in Orlando. The salon is set in a 1940s bungalow away from shopping centers and office buildings, arranged to feel more like a friend's living room than an office, and every room has a TV with streaming platforms and free WiFi. Appointments are by appointment only and are not rushed, and private suites include a complimentary beverage station.

Pricing is flat-rate, and the salon says its prices are never hidden. Fees change only for oversized custom systems, hair 8 inches or longer, or rush manufacturing. Membership is free. Cancelling at least 24 hours ahead carries no charge, while a $50 fee applies to a missed appointment without notice.

Systems are applied to a clean, prepared scalp with a medical-grade adhesive that is water and heat proof, and the salon offers several bond types that the salon says withstand showers, pools, salt water and sweat. The salon typically advises replacing a system every 3 to 4 months, and it does not recommend wearing one more than 4 weeks between maintenance appointments.

The salon aims to make hair systems affordable and comfortable for men of all ages, uses a cutting system designed for hair systems, and cleans systems without harsh chemicals.
