The Curl Suite

The Curl Suite focuses only on curly hair. The salon is a private suite inside Sola Salon Suites at 151 S. Doheny Drive in Beverly Hills, and the building has its own parking lot. Because each appointment takes place in a private suite, clients are served without other clients or stylists in the room. The salon says it aims to be a safe haven for curly hair, and it states that it was featured on CBS News.

Services cover cutting and styling for every curl type. Curly haircuts can be done on dry curls, on wet hair, or after a blowout, and the method is chosen during the consultation. Clients who are new to the salon are steered toward the New Client Ultimate Curl Experience, which starts with a consultation and includes a curly cut, a hair analysis, a detoxifying cleanse, and treatments aimed at hydration and strength balance. It also includes a step-by-step lesson on cleansing, conditioning, detangling, styling and preserving curls, a personalized curl care prescription, an electronic instructional guide, and follow-up correspondence. Other services come with product recommendations only.

Booking is done online through the Book Now link, where the full service menu and prices are listed. A card is kept on file without any deposit or payment in advance. Clients should arrive with hair detangled and unbraided, without ponytails, buns or clips, since tangled hair carries a $40 detangling fee. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice; late cancellations are charged 50% of the service total and no-shows 100%, and a no-show cannot rebook. Adjustment requests must be emailed within 72 hours after the service, and services are final sale. Clients on a full date can join a waitlist and are notified if an opening comes up.

Clients must be 12 or older. Minors and clients who need special assistance may bring one parent or guardian, while other visitors wait outside the suite. Payment is taken by credit card on file, cash, Zelle or Venmo. Gift certificates for curly haircut services can be bought online.
