The Curl Nook operates as a small salon suite focused entirely on curly hair. It moved to 148 Old Post Road, Suite 104, in Sharon, inside the IMAGE Studios building, directly in front of Costco just off Exit 17 on I-95. Free parking surrounds the building.

A visit is one-on-one in most cases, since the owner is the only stylist in the suite. The building is unlocked during business hours; visitors enter, go left, and find the suite around the corner. The space has a clear glass sliding door and curtains that fully close for privacy. Another client is only in the suite if the stylist runs late or someone arrives behind schedule, and clients are told on arrival.

The owner says that privacy lets her serve under-served communities. Services are grouped into cuts, color and education, and the salon's focus is on helping clients understand and maintain their own hair at home.

Booking is online only, and walk-ins are not accepted. Booking opens three months ahead on the same day of the month, and a wait-list will alert clients when a time in their requested range opens. A credit card holds each booking, and the salon accepts Venmo, CashApp, GlossGenius, major cards and tap-to-pay. Hair should arrive down, fully detangled and dry, without heavy butters or oils or a ponytail, bun or braid. Prices may be adjusted for improper preparation or for strengthening or hydrating treatments, and any change is communicated before work begins. Guests who are not being serviced are not allowed, though friends may book back-to-back or overlapping appointments. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and children under 13 must have one present throughout the service. Custom and fashion color are not offered to anyone under 18.

Cuts are planned around how a client wears their hair about 90% of the time, and curly cuts are not recommended for clients who mainly wear their hair straight.
