The Crown Lounge

The Crown Lounge is a private, one-on-one space built around scalp and hair care. Rather than offering cuts, color or styling, the business focuses only on rituals that clean, condition, treat and reset the scalp and hair, along with beard care and wig cleaning.

Each session is booked on its own, so the time is spent on one client at a time. The Scalp Seduction ritual, the most involved service at 90 minutes, begins with a scalp analysis and moves through water and steam therapy, deep cleansing and deep conditioning, followed by a perimeter reset and a chair massage. Clients are offered a weighted blanket, a complimentary beverage, calming music, low lighting and ear and eye covers during that visit.

Options range from a gentle scalp-care ritual for scalps that feel dry, flaky or uncomfortable, to a detox for natural hair aimed at curls and coils, and a loc detox and moisture reset designed to prepare locs for a retwist. Wigs can be cleaned in a cleansing ritual with a choice of two options, which ends with air-drying for synthetic wigs.

For men, the beard ritual includes beard exfoliation, steam therapy, a beard mask, a perimeter reset, and beard oil and finish. A combined crown and beard ritual is also available, which adds a matte SPF finish to the crown.

The business is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 AM to 5 PM, Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM, and Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and is closed Monday, Thursday and Sunday. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours' notice, and no-shows, are subject to a 50% cancellation fee, and booking Scalp Seduction requires a $50 deposit.

Each service is a scheduled ritual built around scalp and hair type, with the scalp analyzed first in the flagship session.
