The Color Spot Salon is a small hair studio in Suite 211 of BEYA Studios on North Highland Avenue. The work centers on custom haircolor and haircuts for women, and the salon is open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Phone is (404) 839-6452.

Services are booked in hourly blocks. A 45-minute visit ($90) covers a short cut or a consultation, and kids under 10 can book a cut only. A one-hour visit ($120) includes a haircut, a dry cut, a blowdry style and a new client haircut. A 1 hour 45 minute visit ($180) covers base color, treatments, a blowdry and face-framing highlights or balayage. Two-hour visits ($230) cover one-process or global color, foil work, balayage in French or American style, partial foils, or a cut with one-process color, blowdry and treatments. A 2 hour 30 minute visit ($300) combines balayage and toner, cut and blowdry, color, foils and heat styling. Three-hour visits ($360) suit clients with a lot of hair or those who haven't been in for 12 or more months, and include foils, color, cut, blowdry, curl, flat iron and treatments. A 3 hour 30 minute visit ($420) is set aside for transformations, makeovers and color correction.

The salon aims for a relaxed visit where clients stay at one station rather than being moved around. Before any cutting or coloring begins, the goal is for clients to understand what the service involves. Children are welcome when receiving services. The studio is kept cool year round, so bringing or wearing layers is recommended.

Appointments are booked online, with a confirmation once booked and a reminder 24 to 48 hours ahead. Clients arriving more than 13 minutes late are treated as no-shows and the appointment is cancelled. Cancellations made less than 24 hours ahead are charged the full service price. Color or cut adjustments must be rescheduled within 14 days of the service, and after 15 days a new appointment is needed. No refunds are offered. Clients who skip a patch test for allergies release the salon from liability. Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled as needed.

The salon works from a relaxed, uncomplicated setup in which each client keeps the same station, and each service starts with a clear explanation of what it involves.
