The Brow Theory

The Brow Theory is a beauty business at 419 Third Ave in Chula Vista, California. Brow work is the center of the menu, and most brow services begin with Signature Brow Mapping, a geometric method used to plan the shape.

Threading and waxing each come with Signature Brow Mapping and take about 45 minutes. Threading also includes thread shaping, trimming and tweezing, and a fill-in and highlight. Professional tweezing takes 30 minutes and includes mapping. The hybrid tint, which takes about 30 minutes, pairs color with wax or thread; the tint lasts 4 to 6 weeks on the hair and stains the skin for 5 to 10 days. Brow lamination starts at $80 and takes an hour or more. It includes mapping and lamination with optional tint, can be combined with wax, thread or tweezing, and lasts 4 to 6 weeks.

Facial and lash services are also available. HydraFacial options run from a 45-minute Signature Essential session that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates, to a 90-minute Platinum visit with lymphatic drainage, a deep cleanse, vortex extractions, a hydrating infusion, a targeted booster and LED light therapy. The De'Luxe GLOW version adds a booster. A keratin lash lift with tint takes an hour and lasts 6 to 8 weeks; medium to long natural lashes give the best results. Access Bars, a 45-minute wellness session, is also listed.

Client reviews on the About page praise the brow work and say clients felt comfortable during their appointments. For brow waxing and mapping, clients are asked to pause AHA/BHA products, retinol, retinol-A and prescription skin treatments two weeks before the visit.

Booking requires a deposit: $10 for threading or waxing, $15 for professional tweezing, $20 for hybrid tint, $30 for a keratin lash lift, $40 for Access Bars and $50 for HydraFacial services. Cancellations or reschedules need at least 48 hours' notice. Late cancellations are charged 50% of the booked services, while no-shows and same-day cancellations are charged 100% to the card on file. Clients more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4 PM to 9 PM, Thursday from 9:30 AM to 9 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM, Sunday from 5 PM to 7 PM, and Tuesday closed.
