The studio says it uses current permanent makeup techniques, quality tools and pigments, and puts client health and comfort first. Its stated goal is to help clients feel more confident through permanent cosmetics, and it aims for results that look as natural as possible. The studio describes itself as the premiere microblading studio in the Bay Area; that is the studio's own claim.
Visits start with a free consultation, which can be requested through the website contact form, by phone or by email. Appointments are booked online through a Vagaro page. A deposit is needed to confirm a booking and is deducted from the total, but it is non-refundable, and the policies on rescheduling, no-shows and late arrivals are firm. Before microblading, clients are asked to avoid alcohol, aspirin and ibuprofen for 48 hours, and to leave about three weeks between microblading and any Botox or chemical peel. Microblading is done over two sessions, the first lasting about two hours, with a numbing cream used; the studio describes the discomfort as relatively minor. Healing takes roughly 7 to 10 days, the color softens over about 30 days, and the work can last 12 to 18 months depending on skin type and aftercare, with an annual touch-up recommended. Touch-ups can be booked no sooner than four weeks after the previous visit and are offered to existing clients. The studio does not guarantee results, since healing varies from person to person.
The academy aims to raise industry standards by training artists to a high level. Its foundation microblade and shading course is two days, 16 hours in total, running 9 AM to 5 PM each day, and costs $2,500. Prior microblading or permanent makeup experience is not required, and students must be 18 or older. Students practice on latex and skin simulation before working on live models under supervision, and receive a professional kit with pigments, thread, a blade set and a training manual, plus a certificate on completion. A $600 non-refundable deposit reserves a spot, the balance is due before class, and the deposit can be moved to a later class date up to four weeks before the start. Students must provide a California Blood Borne Pathogens course certificate 7 to 14 days before training. Advanced options include a Powder Brows and Ombré course covering one or two shades, and a Lip Blush course for students who already have permanent makeup machine experience. The academy says it is the only official academy for permanent cosmetics in the East Bay and that it has taught hundreds of students. Alumni have access to extended training, study groups, shadow dates on up to three live models, and apprenticeship programs.
The studio aims for the most natural-looking semi-permanent makeup results, with client health and comfort placed first. The academy's aim is to raise industry standards by training artists to a high level.
