Trichology consultations can be held in person or by video. An in-clinic visit runs about an hour and covers your history and past treatments, your hair routine, a trichoscope scalp exam and photographs. It ends with a written Wellness Report that you keep and can share with a physician. A virtual visit runs 30 minutes, with a video link sent before the appointment. If a video visit doesn't give enough information, the practice books an in-clinic scalp analysis instead.

Medical head spa sessions may include steam, microdermabrasion, high-frequency therapy or scalp exfoliation, and the business says these use trichology-approved products with active ingredients.

HairIDetect is an optional hair mineral analysis offered in partnership with Eraceutic MD. It uses a small scalp hair sample, with no needles and no blood draw. Samples need 1.5 to 2 inches of virgin root hair, with no recent rinses, color, henna or relaxers, and board-certified physicians review the results.

After you request an appointment, intake paperwork or deposit invoices are sent. Trichology appointments require a completed intake form within 24 hours of being accepted, and the same 24-hour window applies to other booking paperwork.

Trichologists give non-medical advice and care plans, do not diagnose or prescribe, refer clients to a physician when a referral is appropriate, and may work alongside dermatologists.
