The Blu Fro

The Blu Fro shares its Catonsville suite with The Creative Space, and the two are listed together under the same address. Its menu is organized by hair service, from consultations and color to locs, natural hair, extensions and a smoothing system.

Color and planning come first here. A 30-minute consultation produces a personalized color plan, and the consultation fee goes toward the service if the guest books the service the same day. First-time guests must complete a consultation and a test strand before any color service is approved.

Cuts and trims are booked under Shapings, which uses shear work fitted to the hair and includes a cleanse and style. Trims are treated as full haircuts, and a shape-up option is limited to perimeter shaping with clippers. Treatments are not included in Shapings.

Extensions are a personalized service that adds length and volume, with a cleanse, haircut and treatment included. Extension hair itself is not part of that price. The salon cannot guarantee how extensions hold up when they are blended or made from non-human hair, and custom color for extensions is booked separately under The Blu Color Menu. Clients who want custom extension color must deliver the hair to the salon at least seven days ahead, ordered in shade 613. Dark extension colors are not applied. Extension maintenance can be booked only within a two-month window, depending on the install.
