The Beauty Bar opened in 2020 at 22 Woburn Street, Suite 23, in Reading. The menu covers facials and skin treatments, brow shaping and tinting, lash lifts and tints, waxing, spray tans, bridal and event makeup, and a few packages that bundle several services together. It is open Tuesday through Thursday and on Monday mornings, and closed Friday through Sunday.

The business is run by owner and esthetician Katie Labriola, who has been a licensed esthetician since 2018 and is also a certified makeup artist. Her earlier work as a bridal makeup artist covered weddings, special occasions and photo makeup. Facials are customized to each client's skin and are offered in 60, 75 and 90 minute versions, with optional red light therapy and extended massage at the longer lengths.

Signature facial work includes The Glass Effect, a 75 minute treatment using Korean skincare, a superficial peel, dermaplaning, sculpting massage and Tri-Light Therapy, and a separate Teen Facial that includes extraction, spot treatment and a detoxifying mask. Other skin options include dermaplaning, milia removal, chemical peels, a Vitamin A peel and microneedling with hyaluronic acid and growth factors. A three-session microneedling series and a three-session Glass Effect series each come with a discount compared with single visits.

Booking requires a credit card on file, which is charged if the cancellation policy is not followed. Cancellations within 48 hours are charged half the scheduled services, and same-day cancellations and no-shows are charged in full. Arriving 10 or more minutes late may lead to cancellation, and children under 10 cannot come along except to eyebrow appointments. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for in-person bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment. Gift card sales are final.

Treatments are tailored to each client's skin. According to the salon, its skincare formulas are clinically proven and gentle.
