The Basic Blonde

The Basic Blonde was founded by Madison Mulloy and operates from Suite 4 at 909 W Magnolia Ave in Fort Worth, inside Dreamhouse Salon. The salon describes its focus as connection, transformation, and helping clients feel their best.

Color is central to the menu. All Over Color is a single-process service at $220, taking about two hours, and includes grey coverage when needed. The color packages cover more ground. The Dimensional Package, from $320 and about 3.5 hours, places custom highlights or lowlights and adds root melt, gloss, treatment, and a cut, with lightener used when needed. The Lived-In Transformation Package, from $380 and about 4.5 hours, is a full color transformation that includes root melt, gloss, treatment, and a cut. The Total Blonding Package, also from $380 and about 4.5 hours, customizes highlights across the whole head and adds root melt, gloss, a cut, and styling.

Between full color sessions, the Maintenance Package is a follow-up visit every four to twelve weeks. It is priced by variation, takes an hour or more, and covers root melt, gloss, a cut, and styling, but not lightening. The Partial Refresh Package is for color touch-ups around the face, hairline, and part line, taking about 135 minutes. Haircut + Blowout starts at $55 and takes 45 minutes or more, with three options, and includes a scalp massage and a conditioning treatment. Men's cuts are not offered. Blowout/Style takes an hour and can include curls, and bang trims take ten minutes.

Extensions are a custom service that begins with a free 30-minute consultation, which is recommended for extension clients and anyone unsure of the look they want. The extension appointment itself takes about three hours. New clients pay a $15 deposit for All Over Color and a $25 deposit for the color packages. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, and late cancellations carry a fee of 15% of the scheduled service price. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. Hours are Wednesday 10 AM to 8 PM, Thursday 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and Friday and Saturday 9 AM to 7 PM, with the salon closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
