About

The Babe Cave is a full body waxing salon in Upland. Its menu runs from bikini and Brazilian work to facial, brow, body and men's waxing, with small patch appointments and brow trims done with scissors instead of wax.

The current owner, Xochitl, joined the salon as a hire after applying and following up in person. She learned waxing there under Haily and took over ownership about five years after she started.

Clients book online at any hour through the salon's booking system. The space is described as cozy and welcoming, and Ana plays music during appointments. Children are not permitted in the salon.

Before a wax, clients are asked to stop active skincare products such as retinol or salicylic acid for seven days and to arrive with clean, dry skin, avoiding heavy lotions, oils and exfoliation for one to two days beforehand. Appointments of an hour or longer need a 50% non-refundable deposit. Changes or cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, and appointments must be confirmed or they are released two hours ahead. A five-minute grace period applies to late arrivals.

The salon works with soft Italian wax and follows a no-double-dipping rule, deep disinfecting between each service.

The salon describes its space as cozy and welcoming.
