The Babe Cave Indianapolis

The Babe Cave LLC runs three things under one name: a lash salon, private suite rental for lash artists, and a lash academy. It has two locations, one at 50 S Meridian in Indianapolis and one at 9838 North Michigan Road in Carmel. Lash services include lash extensions, lash lifts and brow laminations, with tooth gems offered as an add-on. Extensions are expected to last three to five weeks, depending on home care and retention, and fill-ins are recommended every two to three weeks. A fill-in removes grown-out extensions and re-lashes natural lashes that have grown back without one. Extensions can be worn wet once the glue has cured, though frequent wetting beyond cleansing is not best for results. Foreign fills carry an upcharge, and if a removal is needed, a removal fee and a full set fee apply.

Booth rental suites in downtown Indianapolis are spacious and open-plan. According to the salon, it was the area's first location to combine esthetics with suite and booth rental, and it presents its booth rental offering as a luxury experience. Three arrangements are available: a full-time independent artist booth with access to a treatment bed on four or more days a week, a flex option for one to three days a week, and a mentorship track. The mentorship track includes weekly one-on-one mentorship and feedback, business coaching, use of Babe Cave-approved products, and a Starter Artist Box.

The academy offers a 45-hour Indiana Department of Health approved course held over six days, open to licensed and non-licensed people who want a state-approved certification. Other courses cover lash extension fundamentals through a New Artist Blueprint course, volume and mega volume fanning through a LashBox LA course, and business and social media. Certified artists can book VIP training in four-hour or seven-hour sessions with a custom curriculum, and a friend who books and trains together receives $50 off VIP training. The business describes itself as the Midwest's top academy, says it is the only Midwest academy partnered with LashBox LA, and reports more than 800 certified graduates.

Cancellations or rescheduling need 48 hours notice. Without proper notice, a full payment is charged, and deposits are non-refundable. After more than three missed notices, clients must pay in advance or cannot book. No guests or children are allowed during services.

Education and artist development come first, with the academy, mentorship track and booth rental suites built to help lash artists train and run their own businesses.
