THAITARA Skin Studio is a Thai-inspired facial and wellness studio in Seattle. The name blends 'Thai' with 'Tara', the Thai word for water. The studio is set inside Salon Republic on Leary at Studio 13, and was founded by Butsara Sawasdee, a licensed esthetician in Washington State.

The studio combines Thai hospitality and Thai-inspired relaxation methods with current skincare practices. Each visit is one-on-one in a private studio room, and treatments are tailored to the skin concerns and goals a client brings in.

Facials run from a 30-minute Express Facial at $59 to a 90-minute Signature Thai Holistic Facial at $147. The Classic Thai Holistic Facial (75 minutes, $122) adds massage across the face, neck, shoulders, arms and scalp. The Signature version adds extended massage and an aromatherapy ritual. The Back Facial (60 minutes, $116) includes cleansing, exfoliation, steam, extractions, a customized mask and massage. The Custom Facial (60 minutes, $109) is also available.

A Chemical Peel (30 minutes, $116) is customized to skin type and concerns. Add-ons are 10 minutes each at $20: LED light therapy, and a hand and foot softening treatment with hydration masks and warm wraps. Retail products are sold, and unopened items can be exchanged or receive store credit within 14 days.

Clients are asked to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early, and new clients may be asked to complete a consultation form first. Please tell the esthetician about allergies, medications, pregnancy or medical conditions before treatment. Cancellations or changes need at least 24 hours' notice; later cancellations may incur a 20% fee, and no-shows may be charged 50% of the scheduled service amount. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule. Services are non-refundable, and results depend on skin type and home care and cannot be guaranteed.
