Taylor'd Skin Studio

Taylor'd Skin Studio works with clients on skin care in San Marcos, with facial treatments tailored to each client's skin type and what they want to achieve. The studio's main focus is its acne program, which pairs each client with an acne specialist for a long-term plan.

The Acne Program begins with a consultation of about 90 minutes. During that visit the team reviews acne history, diet, home care routine and lifestyle, runs a serum sensitivity test, takes skin photos, and performs an acne treatment with light extractions. After that, in-clinic treatments are scheduled about every two weeks, roughly twice a month, over a treatment plan of six to nine months.

Each in-clinic session includes an ultrasonic cleanse, prep and skin analysis, exfoliation or peel, extractions, blue LED light therapy, and a finishing hydration step with SPF. Clients also follow a twice-daily home care routine and some diet or lifestyle changes between visits. Home care products are refilled as they run out, and the sunscreen used with the program is bought from the studio. The first set of home care products is listed at about $155 to $200.

The studio uses Face Reality Skin Care products, including the Acne Spot line of cleansers, scrubs, toners, acne medications and a mandelic serum, and the Face Reality Clear Skin Method for the acne program. The Acne Spot website publishes a list of ingredients it describes as pore-clogging. The studio also offers Priia Acne Safe mineral makeup.

Taylor'd Skin Studio has a Healthy Skin Club membership, sells gift cards, and allows online purchases and online appointment booking.
