Tarzana Skin Care & Electrolysis has been serving clients in Tarzana for nearly thirty years, offering skin care for the face and body alongside electrolysis. The studio is located on Ventura Blvd. and is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm.
Every service is by appointment. Free consultations and bookings are made by contacting the salon directly by phone at (818) 344-7678.
The menu is organized into several groups. Electrolysis covers permanent hair removal. The facial menu includes a Classic European Facial, which includes steam cleansing, exfoliation, pore extraction, facial massage, a mask, and serums and moisturizers, plus the Epicuren Classic Facial, which the salon recommends for all skin types.
Peels form a large part of the menu, from the PCA SKIN Sensi, Ultra and PCA peels to acid-based options such as lactic (24%), salicylic, citric, kojic, resorcinol and trichloroacetic (10%) peels, along with pumpkin and a herbal green peel. Any peel can be paired with a booster, according to the salon.
Custom facials and boosters add targeted options such as a vitamin C brightening treatment, glycolic and salicylic acid treatments, Jessner's peel, enzyme and hyaluronic acid masks, radiofrequency, and microcurrent with LED light therapy. Colored light protocols in red, orange, blue, green, yellow and purple are each described by the salon for a particular concern.
Skin care services also include microdermabrasion, hydrodermabrasion, microneedling and a rejuvenating oxygen treatment. Facials, boosters, peels and light treatments are provided by board certified aestheticians and skin care providers, according to the salon.
The salon matches treatments to specific skin concerns, using named peels, light protocols and devices rather than a single standard facial.
