TAN Boca is a sunless spray tan studio at 4160 NW 1st Ave, Suite 15, in Boca Raton, inside the Boca Bays loft spaces. It was created by its founder to bring together an interest in beauty and skincare.
Visits are by appointment only, with no walk-ins. Clients are asked to arrive five minutes early. Tans are applied with a handheld airbrush spray machine using a DHA-based solution that reacts with the skin to develop a bronze color. Each tan is adjusted to the client's skin tone, skin texture and tanning goals, and the salon says it works to preserve the skin. Spray tans typically last about seven to ten days, depending in part on aftercare.
Before a session, clients are advised to exfoliate and shave the day before or at least eight hours ahead. Afterward, loose dark clothing and a loose bra are recommended because staining is possible, a natural fragrance-free moisturizer is suggested after the first shower, and chlorinated water should be avoided while the tan is new.
The studio offers a range of services, from the full-body BODY and GLOW tans to a 30-minute Contour Spray Tan that uses violet tanning solutions to define the collarbone, waist, legs and muscles. Service packages can be bought in bulk and used at any time. A members-only tan is included in the Unlimited Membership, which is priced at $200 per month.
Each tan is customized to the client's skin tone, skin texture and tanning goals, with care taken to preserve the skin.
