Taboo Beauty Lounge is a Houston salon offering hair color, haircuts, styling and waxing. Visits are by appointment only, and clients book online through Vagaro, which asks them to create an account first.
Services fall into four groups: color work, scissor work, style work and wax work. Color ranges from single process and glazing to partial, half, full and micro highlights, with balayage and fantasy color design starting with a consultation. Many prices are starting amounts, and additional color is priced at $35 per ounce.
The salon was founded by Nancy, who became a hairstylist after moving to Florida and has since worked with many brands in several states and cities. She is bilingual in Spanish and English and serves women in both languages. Diamond, another stylist on the team, has been a hairstylist for 15 years and works with blended styles for all hair types. Each stylist keeps their own schedule.
The stylists emphasize experience across many hair types and ongoing learning of new techniques.
