Syndicate Salon has been operating since 1967. Its current owners, Daniel Combs and Brian Dahl, purchased the salon in 1996. The salon describes itself as a boutique salon and describes Encino as one of Southern California's most affluent communities.
The salon has a partnership with L'Oréal Professionnel and was a preview salon for INOA, an ammonia-free and peroxide-free permanent color. The color menu includes single process, partial and full highlights, balayage, toner, face frame, corrective color, and a color consultation that is complimentary. Hair treatments include several Kerastase options, a Malibu treatment, permanents, relaxers, keratin and express keratin treatments, and extensions and wigs priced after a consultation.
The salon runs an apprentice program aimed at developing artistic talent. Listed prices are base prices. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice, otherwise 50% of the service fee is charged, and missed appointments or no-shows are charged the full fee. Appointments may be rescheduled if a client arrives more than 10 minutes late. The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday, with hours that begin at 7:30 or 8:00 am and close between 5:00 and 7:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
