Sydney Skin | Beauty is run out of its Calimesa location, where licensed cosmetologist Sydney Preciado handles the facial and skin work. The menu covers facials, head spa treatments, brow services, waxing and blow outs, with several packages for clients who book more than one service.

About

The facial menu runs from a 45-minute teen facial, which includes a deep cleanse, gentle exfoliation, steam, extractions when needed, a customized mask and a moisturizer with SPF, to customized 60- and 75-minute facials. The 75-minute version includes dermaplaning at no extra charge. A 90-minute Nano Infusion facial adds dermaplaning and uses a silicone-tipped device to help serums penetrate the skin. A dermaplane-only visit of about 30 minutes removes dead skin and peach fuzz with a sterile surgical blade. Red light therapy is also offered, which the salon describes as beneficial for anti-aging skin tone. For masks, the studio uses a green tea clay mask that it describes as an antioxidant mask.

Head spa treatments come in three levels. The essential version is a 60-minute visit with scalp analysis, cleansing, exfoliation, scalp massage, a conditioning mask and a light blow dry. The rehabilitating version is 90 minutes and is adjusted for concerns such as excess oil, dryness, flaking, irritation or buildup, with steam, a hair repair mask, a neck and shoulder massage and a blow dry. The deluxe scalp and face option pairs a head spa with a mini facial and a neck and shoulder massage.

Brow services include waxing for men and women, brow waxing with tinting, which typically lasts two to three weeks depending on skin type and routine, and brow lamination, which smooths and sets brow hairs and includes a complimentary brow wax. Lamination results typically last six to eight weeks with aftercare. Waxing also includes Brazilian waxing and five other waxing options. A blow out and style service is available as well.

Packages include a Brazilian package where three waxes earn a fourth free, a set of three 60-minute custom facials, and a brows and face package that combines a brow wax with either a 30-minute facial or a 30-minute dermaplane. Packages are booked through the services page, and package credits apply automatically at checkout. Deposits range from $10 to $30 depending on the service. Appointments can be rescheduled if the change is made within a 48-hour window, and clients can text to let the studio know if they cannot make it. A 10-minute grace period applies from the start time, and arrivals after that are treated as no-shows, with the deposit forfeited unless the studio has said otherwise. The studio is open Tuesday and Wednesday 10 AM to 5 PM, Thursday 10 AM to 4 PM, Friday 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 3 PM, and is closed Monday and Sunday.

Treatments are customized to each client's skin concerns and scalp needs, with the aim of leaving clients with refreshed, healthy-looking skin.
