Sweet P Sugar Studio is owned and run by founder Paola Gomez, a Master Sugarist who specializes in sugaring. Before opening her own studio, she worked at several sugaring salons in Los Angeles and Orange County.
The studio's sugar paste is made from sugar, lemon and water and is applied against the direction of hair growth. The studio describes this paste as the most effective hair removal method available, and says it is gentler, less irritating and longer-lasting than waxing, and suited to sensitive skin. Brazilian and bikini sessions finish with a warm towel, witch hazel and coconut oil to moisturize and soothe the skin. A Jelly Mask can be added for $20.
Visits are by appointment only, and online booking is required for all new clients. New clients fill out a waiver before their first session and are asked to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early. Hair should be at least 1/8 to 1/4 inch long, and there are preparation and aftercare guidelines covering exfoliation, recent shaving or waxing, sun, swimming and exercise. Parking is available behind the building, with free street parking nearby. Children and pets are not permitted in the office.
