Sweet Goldie

Sweet Goldie is located inside Gowanus Creative Studios at 56 2nd Avenue, between 7th and 8th streets in Brooklyn. The F and G trains stop at Smith/9th Street, and the R train at 4th Avenue/9th Street is also nearby. There is street parking only, so clients are advised to allow extra time to find a space.

Before an appointment, clients are sent detailed instructions and an access code for the building. Services are organized into two groups: cutting and styling, and coloring and chemical services. Lightening services require a 50% deposit at booking, which is applied to the total once the appointment is complete.

Payment is accepted by major credit cards and cash, with Venmo and cash available for gratuity. Appointment confirmations go out 48 hours ahead by text and email, and an unanswered confirmation may release the slot. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be charged up to the full service total at the stylist's discretion, and no-shows or cancellations after the start time are charged the full amount. Adjustments must be requested right away and completed within 14 days of the original date. Guests should be kept to a minimum and arranged in advance, and phone calls during the visit should be brief and not on speakerphone.
