The paste is made from sugar, lemon and water, with no resins or harsh chemicals, and it is applied at body temperature. Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long at the appointment, so clients are asked not to trim or shave beforehand. Sugaring is not offered during a sunburn until at least one week after, to clients on antibiotics until 14 days after the last dose, or to clients on Accutane until six months after the last dose. Areas that have had chemical peels, laser hair or tattoo removal, or dermabrasion should not be sugared. Clients are advised to bring clean, loose clothing for afterward.
Cancellations need at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations made later than that are charged 50% of the service, and no-shows or same-day cancellations are charged the full service as a non-refundable, non-transferable fee. First-time clients receive a 10% discount applied to their account at the appointment. The studio is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
