The studio was founded by Lana Shnayder as her own skin care studio. The stated aim is to give every client a positive and memorable experience at each visit. According to the salon, its skin care professionals have more than 25 years of combined experience, and the studio uses medical-quality esthetic products and skin care techniques.

Electrolysis, the permanent removal of individual hairs, can be applied to the face, body and intimate areas, including eyebrows, chin, lips, jaw line, underarms, abdomen, bikini line, legs and back. Each visit starts with a private, confidential consultation, after which the electrologist designs a treatment plan. The salon states that electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method of permanent hair removal. Clients with certain conditions, such as diabetes or those taking blood-thinning medication, may be treated only with written authorization from their physician.

The studio also provides gender-affirming electrolysis for transgender, nonbinary and gender-diverse clients, including pre-surgical electrolysis for those preparing for gender-affirming surgery. This work can span several months. Advanced Aesthetics treatments use an 8-in-1 Zemits facial machine and anti-aging technologies to cleanse, repair and stimulate the skin, and customized facials are tailored to age, skin type and existing skin conditions. Clients on Accutane are not offered exfoliation or waxing, and should wait six months to a year after Accutane before exfoliating.

Cancellations need 48 hours notice. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full amount of the original appointment. The studio accepts cash and check only and sells online gift certificates. The salon describes itself as award winning and states that it has won the Reader's Choice Award five years in a row.
